CAROLINA CANCER SERVICES (formerly known as Davidson County Cancer Services, Inc.) was founded in 1996 by a caring team of local residents who wanted to help people deal with life after a cancer diagnosis.  Over the years,  referrals and word of mouth have helped us offer assistance to hundreds of Davidson County cancer patients. Now, we are extending our borders and offering assistance to others in need here in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. Through a group of committed employees, board members, and volunteers, we offer our clients a true partnership - by helping them receive medications, with a support network, up-to-the-minue literature and even day-to-day necessities. Most of all, we offer cancer patients a chance to not only survive this illness, but a chance to LIVE.
CAROLINA CANCER SERVICES is a non-government funded agency that looks to private donations, fund raising events, and speaking engagements to continue our work. Unlike many non-profit organizations, our donations are not consumed by huge administrative fees. Our employees take full responsibility for all aspects of running the agency. These employees report directly to an Executive Director who reports to board of directors made up of local business men and business women who volunteer their time, energy and expertise.
Nearly 39% of our budget comes from the United Way.
It's our goal to make life easier for those battling cancer, and with your help we will succeed.
